Order queue: statuses and handing over
Where to see all current orders, move them through statuses, take payment and hand them over.
The "Queue" button at the top of the till shows all of the location's current orders. The number on it is the order count.
An order card shows: the number, a timer (turns red after 5 minutes), items with add-ons and comments, and an "Unpaid" badge.
Buttons on the card
- "New → In progress → Ready": moves the order to the next status. After "Ready" the order counts as handed over and leaves the queue.
- "Pay · amount": take payment for an order that was sent to the kitchen without payment.
- "Cancel": see How to cancel an order.
If you use the kitchen display, the cook changes the statuses. The till sees them in the Queue, and guests see them on the pickup display.
