What happens if the internet goes down
The till keeps ringing up orders and sends them on by itself once the connection is back.
Without internet the till keeps working:
- sales and "Send to kitchen" are saved on the device;
- a yellow "Offline · N" badge appears at the top, where N is the number of unsent orders;
- when the connection is back, you'll see "Syncing…" and then "Synced orders: N".
Orders aren't lost or duplicated: each one has its own unique number, and the original sale time is kept.
What doesn't work without internet
Guest search and bonuses, refunds, cash deposits and withdrawals, closing the shift, table bills, the Queue and the stop list. A receipt for an order saved offline doesn't print automatically.
The kitchen display and the pickup display only get an offline order after it syncs. If the connection is down for a long time, tell the kitchen about the order in person.
