"Send to kitchen" or "Pay": what's the difference
One button sends the order to be prepared without payment, the other takes the money right away.
There are two buttons under the "To pay" total.
- "Send to kitchen" (blue) creates an order without payment. It shows up on the kitchen display and in the Queue right away. You can take payment later: in the Queue or in "Payment" mode. Handy when the guest pays after eating.
- "Pay" (green) opens the payment window. After payment the order also goes to the kitchen.
If pay-first is turned on in the location settings, there's no "Send to kitchen" button: the order is always paid first.
If you don't use the kitchen display
When the KDS is turned off in the location settings, or the order has only ready-made products (water, pastries), the order is marked "Ready" right away, no need to wait for the cook.
