Installing Qvon POS on Windows
Download the installer, install, connect the till to your location and keep it updated.
Qvon POS for Windows suits an all-in-one, PC or laptop at the till. It needs 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
Installing
- 1Download the Qvon POS Setup installer from qvon.uz/download.
- 2Run the file. Windows will ask to allow changes: you need an account with administrator rights, as it installs into Program Files for every user of the computer.
- 3Pick the setup language: English, Russian or Uzbek.
- 4Tick what you want: "Create a desktop icon" and "Launch Qvon POS automatically when Windows starts".
- 5Click "Install", then "Finish": the app starts by itself.
Keep auto-start on: if the till reboots mid-shift, Qvon POS opens by itself, with nobody hunting for the icon.
Connecting to your location
- 1In Qvon Office open Account → Locations → "Pair device" and click "Generate code". The code is valid for 10 minutes.
- 2Enter the code on the "Connect a device" screen in Qvon POS and tap "Connect".
- 3Log in with your PIN.
No back office yet? On the same screen tap "Don't have an organization? Register".
Receipt printer
In Qvon POS: Tools → "Receipt printer". Choose a USB printer installed in Windows or a network printer by IP. Use the test print to check it.
Updates
When a new version is out, Qvon POS shows a message. The update never installs itself mid-shift: tap it when it suits you. The app downloads the installer, closes and updates in place; the connection to your location and settings are kept.
You can also update by hand: download the installer from qvon.uz/download and run it over the installed version. It replaces the old version rather than installing a second copy next to it.
If Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
That is how the SmartScreen filter treats new apps that few people have downloaded yet.
- 1Make sure the file came from qvon.uz.
- 2Click "More info".
- 3Click "Run anyway".
If the file didn't come from qvon.uz (a messenger, a stranger's USB stick), don't run it: download the installer again from the site. In doubt, message support, see How to contact support.
Uninstalling
Windows Settings → Apps → Qvon POS → "Uninstall". Menu, orders and reports are stored in Qvon, not on the computer, so after reinstalling you only need to connect the device again.
Before uninstalling, check the till is online: orders rung up without internet need to reach the server first.
